What is Acupuncture?
Simply put, Acupuncture is a form of treating imbalances within the body using fine, sterile needles at specific points that are known to effect physical, chemical, mental, and emotional changes. It is a term used to encompass a theory of treatment more that one technique. In fact, acupuncturists may also use cupping, scraping, cold-laser therapy, micro-current stimulation, far infra-red light therapy and other modalities, in addition to needles. All these techniques are used towards the primary goal of restoring balance and harmony to the human system. |
